Significant changes have been made to the policy for enrollment in more than 19 credits. Please read carefully:
- Students who have a cumulative UCSC GPA of 3.0 or greater will be able to enroll in up to 22* credits AUTOMATICALLY. If you meet this requirement, you do not need to speak with an advisor. As usual, you will not be able to enroll in more than 19 credits until the first day of classes.
- Students who do not have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater must see an academic advisor.
- Students who wish to enroll in more than 22 credits must see an academic advisor.
- Students will not submit a petition using the online form.

*Please remember that each credit hour course bonds to three hours of work, and thus a 22-credit load corresponds to 66 hours of work per week.
