WESTSIDE/EASTSIDE WRITING CENTER  (also Now Hiring Tutors, please see below)

The Westside/Eastside Writing Center offers writing consultation services and tutoring designed to teach and support sutdents in all aspects and phases of scholastic writing. We offer vital assistance for all your writing needs.

All our consultants either hold or are pursuing a graduate degree and are professionally experienced tutors, writers, and/or teachers. Consultatns have diverse academic specialities to hep you grow as a writer and to serve your varied academic needs with robust, personalized, and caring mentorship.

Locations:

  1. Crown Writing Center (Crown Library, Second Floor - entrance from outside library, door to left of library door)
  2. Stevenson Writing Center (Room 107, behind and underneathe the Stevenson Library)
  3. Westside Writing Center (Oakes College, Room 111)

Hours:

  • Fall, Winter, andSpring Quarters: Monday - Thursday from 10am - 8pm and Friday from 10am - 6pm

The Westside/Eastside Writing Center is Now Hiring Graduate Students for Tutoring Positions!

We are looking for tutors with training in writing pedagogies and with teaching experience. We need consultants who are culturally sensitive listeners, perceptive readers, excellent communitcatiors, and energetic problem solvers to work with individual students. Graduate Writing Tutors will use their advanced training to help students develop their own ideas, strategies, and skills in university discourse. Language specialists are especially welcome.

Contractscan be for one quarter or for the academic year. The schedule is negotiable, typically offering 6-9 hours per week. Pay ranger is $20.24-$26.42 per hour, commensurate with training and experience.
