Crown Appoints Three Adjunct Professors:
Sridhar Rao
Sridhar (Sri) Rao specializes in product development and human-centered design, with a focus on commercial opportunities that leverage machine intelligence. His work spans academia, venture capital, startups, and corporate innovation in fields such as spatial computing, computer vision, hardware, communications, e-commerce, and infrastructure.
As Adjunct Professor in Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Sri is developing CRWN 152, a class in venture capital for startups and CRWN 102, a project-based class focused on innovations in spatial computing. His planned research focuses on understanding the impact of artificial intelligence on the viability of small and mid-sized enterprises.
Richard Vargas
Richard (Rick) Vargas worked with a small group of creatives at Apple for 18 years. Among other projects, this group of creatives developed the look and feel of Apple’s first retail stores and marketed the Apple products and services that were launched in quick succession shortly thereafter. Rick has led teams that developed and implemented a wide variety of cross-platform creative strategies for Apple’s website, retail stores and social network and worked on a variety of films.
As Adjunct Associate Professor in Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Rick Vargas will be teaching CRWN 91B Creative AI and Marketing, a class teaching the different tools needed in marketing, including artificial intelligence-based ones. He plans to conduct research on applications of artificial intelligence on marketing.
Jeremy Neuner
Jeremy is an entrepreneur, author, speaker, and facilitator. He works at Google where he helps startups and developers build cool things with Google’s technology. As Adjunct Professor in Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Crown, he is co-teaching CRWN 100, Fundamentals of Starting and Scaling an Organization and his research will focus on entrepreneurship as a career choice.
